WHAT IS REIKI
Rei means spiritual wisdom and Ki means energy.
Reiki is a healing modality that originated in Japan. It involves the transfer of universal life force energy 'ki' or 'chi' through the hands.
It works with the concept that life force energy flows through all living things.
The session aims to balance and align the body's energy centres (chakras), to restore the natural flow of energy. When the energy is blocked or imbalanced it can cause symptoms such as low energy, health problems and a lack of clarity and purpose. When this energy is balanced and flowing properly you can experience good health, well-being and confidence.

WHAT IS IT FOR?


Reiki is not specific to any ailment, it works on the entire self so it is helpful in all kinds of healing for the body, mind and spirit. It can support traditional medicine as it enhances the body's overall well-being and can help manage the challenges that come with illnesses.
Reiki is a complementary therapy so is not to be used as a replacement for medical care.

WHAT A SESSION WILL FEEL LIKE

Before we begin, we take time to talk through where you are right now, how you’ve been feeling and what you would like support with. Every session is personalised to your unique needs.
You will lay comfortably on the treatment bed, with blankets and a heated blanket if you wish. Once you are settled, I gently place my hands on or just above different points of your body, depending on your preference. From there, I work intuitively to support balance in your energy system and encourage your body’s natural healing response.
As the energy begins to flow, you may feel warmth,
tingling, lightness or gentle waves of sensation.
Some people feel emotional release, others feel
deeply calm, and some simply feel peaceful and
relaxed. Everyone's experience is different and
no session is the same.
Reiki works subtly, and often the true benefits are felt after the session. Many clients notice the deepest shifts in the hours or days that follow: feeling lighter, clearer thoughts, softened emotions, better sleep, a sense of peace and calm.
At the end of your session, we take a moment to gently come back into the space. You are welcome to share anything you felt or simply sit quietly, whatever feels right for you.
My intention is always for you to feel safe, supported and held throughout the entire experience.
